Some of you that were on this site during the week when my ‘open-glare, for-all-to-see mistake’ was ongoing, may have thought my site had been hacked. So here’s what happened.

I was trying to apply this new theme to my site but the mistake I made was not activating a plugin called “Site under construction” before commencing. Thus, in my bid to choose the right theme, the site to viewers kept changing in-between themes. I’m sure you get the picture.

Nonetheless, it turned out to be the least of my worries, as customizing the theme came with so many hitches. At the end of the entire process, I had to rest, due to the pressure I came under in trying to meet today’s deadline.

I know you’ll probably be wondering if I did get the professional help I previously admitted I required. Let’s just say that it came with it’s own level of stress, so I had to revoke the request.

For me this entire experience triggered a memory which occurred years back when I was having an ‘episode’. I remember the conversation between a doctor and my dad. He asked my dad if I was involved in any sporting activity and my dad replied that I wasn’t. In response he stated that it was quite unfair that my situation had been allowed to digress to such a state.

When I recovered, the question kept resonating in my mind, simply because sporting for me was more or less strenuous. Although, I enjoyed taking long walks, this too had its own problems. As the years rolled by, I kept asking myself what I enjoyed doing, until of course the answer came through this blog.

In fact when I was designing this site at the onset, I stumbled across certain terminologies I deemed as being “gibberish”. How I was able to unravel such terms and overcome each blocking point still puzzles me to date. Once again, here I am, a year and half later, in the same situation, trying to apply a new theme to change your browsing experience.

As I heave a sigh of relief, all I can say is, “Welcome to a fresh and enlivening experience!”
