Don’t be too quick to walk.

She’s right here.

I learned something new the previous week but before I delve into that, let me ask this question.

After listening to my song, do you have feedback for me? I long to hear your review. Just let me know your thoughts, please. What about the rhythm of the song? Did you like that also? Thanks to all those that gave their comments.

I do intend to sing. Hopefully, in subsequent releases, I will be singing and not reading.

That being said, I guess I’ll delve into my post for the day.

Last week, I saw a physiotherapist to voice certain concerns about my knee. The feedback I received from her is worth noting as some of you could find it useful.

Her feedback bordered around balancing and getting up from the bed when you wake up from sleep. She explained that our bodies need a few minutes to adjust when we wake up. Thus, it’s important to get up slowly and sit up at the edge of our beds for at least 1-3 minutes before we stand and start walking.

When I researched later using the referenced link below, I noticed that the reason is because sometimes we may feel lightheaded/dizzy when we get up quickly. This is due to a temporal drop in our blood pressure from gravity, pulling blood towards our feet when we stand immediately. The resultant effect is that it causes our nervous system to become overworked thereby increasing our heart rate / clenching our blood vessels, all in a bid to maintain our blood pressure. Sometimes it can lead to the eventual collapse of the individual.

The same rule also applies when we’ve been sitting for very long. In such a case, we should try to stand for a few seconds before walking. Over time our bodies will become more accustomed to it.

Wishing you all a good week. Take care.

Bye.
