My new go-to.

I’ve been up and about, so what about you?

Very simple things have inspired me to write or discuss with you all and today is no exception.

You know when you find yourself in an awkward position. When you are suddenly inspired to try something new and different and the urge to do so is very strong. This was my dilemma two weeks ago.

To give a brief background, I know I had discussed with you all my talent for composing raw rhythms which form the basis of any music. Well. I’m guessing you may probably be asking why I’m yet to release another single. Truth is that music production is a capital-intensive venture. Especially now with the global inflation rate everywhere. Nonetheless, I’m still composing more rhythms and saving them for the one day when I’ll be ready.

Two weeks ago, I found myself amidst a young and talented saxophone artist. This young girl struck a chord within me that made me decide immediately to take up a new hobby.

Can you guess what the hobby is??? Hmm… “I’m wondering if I should just spill or hold my breath”. No! you guessed wrong! the new hobby is not learning to play the saxophone. Lol! It’s something fresh and different.

The one major reason I’m choosing not to divulge is that I would like to begin my lessons first before I spill.  Even if some people don’t give me a nudge on this one, I’m determined to embark on it.

However, I would like you to have an idea of the hobby. It’s going to allow me to sing and play at the same time. I’m thrilled. I just can’t wait for the result as ideas seem to be pouring in from all angles.

What about you guys? I’m sure some of you must’ve started one venture or the other this year. How’s it going for you all?

One thing we need to keep in mind is that almost all new projects and hobbies have their teething phases. A period when you feel overcome and defeated that it would not yield results.

Many times, it’s at this phase that some of us yield and abandon the goal not realizing that we were just at the point of our breakthrough if we had decided to go on. So, hang in there and watch it yield.

This year, I would like to also add more shared stories to the blog. I’m hoping some of you do decide to reach out to me.

I guess I’ll end here. Have a good weekend and talk to you all soon. Bye.
