In the quest for mastery.
I feel much better and grateful today. Thank you for keeping me in your thoughts and prayers.
No wonder the Bible says, “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory” 2 Corinthians 4v17.
I noticed that my voice translation on the blog was discontinued. Although I recall stating that I would adopt either method on the blog, I realized it may not be the best approach. There may be some readers that prefer listening to reading. Although, this could sometimes delay my publishing time, please bear with me.
So, I hope you all are okay and keeping well. My post today is a bit short and all my attempts to delve into other discussions proved abortive. I was torn between publishing now or delaying until much later.
However, I needed to blog to calm most of you who may have been bothered by my previous post.
Working on a new career path can sometimes come with nostalgic feelings. Feelings whereby you pine for your previous comfort zone. I guess it’s at such a point that you either “sink or swim” as one would like to term it. This usually comes just before you decide to triumph amidst the given odds.
On several occasions, these odds could come in various forms.
It could be difficulty with assimilation; being able to multitask or juggling so many to-do lists; or the character of either colleagues or bosses. There are also certain times when your mindset could give the wrong feedback. All these (I believe) determine your ability to excel at the chosen path.
In my quest for mastery, I recall a certain time, I sought advice from a senior colleague. As I explained my challenge and the fact that I seemed to be struggling, he smiled and affirmed that the struggle I had within me was important for me to develop excellence in the given role. After this discussion, I chose not to fight the feelings I had within anymore.
In conclusion, I hope that this post is helpful to some of you who may be embarking on a new career path this season. I wish you all speed and excellence.
