The unexpected muscle spasm.

I did not forget to blog. Rather, a strange occurrence ensued last week.

I got home from work on the last day of the week, hale and hearty, but by the time I reached my bedroom, it was a different story.

My waist had hooked at the backside of the right part of my body. It was the most excruciating pain I had to bear. As I struggled to put on a change of clothes and get in and out of bed throughout the night, I kept reeling in pain.

Although I administered a diclofenac balm to the affected area, it didn’t relieve as much. Thankfully, the following day was a weekend, so I reached out to an accredited chemist who provided me with a prescription.

However, it did not end there, as the pain had other plans of its own. Two things occurred. I slept for the most part of my weekend, and the pain that had relieved me on the right side simply moved to the left part of my backside. Hence, my entire weekend was spent nursing myself.

The chemist explained that it was referred to as a “muscle spasm,” which is a painful contraction and tightening of your muscles, commonly involuntary and unpredictable. In fact, when I looked it up, I noticed that there was a great deal of information to read.

This explains my absence from blogging last week. I’m so glad it’s over…
