A new outlook.
I guess I’ve written quite a bit of content in these past few weeks and I really do hope that all I’ve written has blessed you in one way or the other. It’s been a thrilling experience for me these past few weeks sharing with you how I’ve coped living with Sickle cell disease and to not agree that the purpose of the blog was achieved would be wrong. I hope each and everyone of you that has read through my blog has been blessed in one way or the other even if you may not be living with the Sickle cell disease.
However in the next few weeks my writing would be taking a new turn as I would be flipping over to share some of the victories that occurred in my life. This doesn’t mean that the blog will negate the objective, it’s just taking a new dimension and outlook. I also intend to simultaneously open the forum to other sickle cell warriors who have been through one challenge or the other to share certain aspects of their pain. Thus, I would like to use this avenue to appeal to you to kindly email me if you are a SCD warrior that is interested in sharing your story and allowing it to bring succor to others. Despite this, I would also like very much to hear from you readers so feel free to send whatever comments, suggestions or questions you have about the blog to me or simply post it as a reply on the blog.
Concerning the amnesia I was experiencing, I began seeing a neurologist and the issue was diagnosed properly. I was requested to undergo some tests and based on the outcome, proper medications were administered to me. The initial hospital that I was going to for treatment also noted that the medication I was taking was not accurate and changed my medication in line with my test results and what the neurologist had recommended.
The bible talks about how as believers we will overcome the adversary – “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony” Revelations 12V11. The more you choose to testify to others about the goodness of God in your life, you overcome the enemy and cause the Lord to always fight your battles for you. I remember countless times that I had this temporary amnesia that it might have turned into a very bad situation for me but the Lord was always faithful and showed up on my behalf ensuring that the instance did not digress into an embarrassing situation.
Always remember that “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” Hebrews 13V8. He’s the unchangeable changer and if he showed up for me /others, he definitely will for you too.
So until I resume sharing next week, take care and God bless..
