Who does this remind you of?

I’m fond of going off the grid of late, ain’t I? Lol. You know that yearning when you are much younger, to quickly become an independent adult like your parents. Only for adulthood to finally materialize, then you wish and long for all your problems and needs to be solved again by them. Lol. Adulthood is definitely one phase that on many occasions, isn’t easy. Let’s set that aside and think of job responsibilities, Many individuals struggle with this area because, on most occasions, they are saddled with jobs they do not like. So they struggle day in and day…

    Sickle Cell Disease and CRISPR.

I’ve been tired and refrained from logging onto this platform in the last week. Sometimes the tiredness occurs without warning and I have no choice but to shut down and conserve my energy levels. Today, I have a video to share and it’s a documentary about treating Sickle Cell Disease using CRISPR gene editing. This treatment has been clinically tried for over 2 years now. However, it’s not very accessible and is also very expensive. It costs between 1-2 million USD and can only be performed at a few medical facilities worldwide, keeping it out of reach of most SCD…

Don’t be too quick to walk.

She’s right here. I learned something new the previous week but before I delve into that, let me ask this question. After listening to my song, do you have feedback for me? I long to hear your review. Just let me know your thoughts, please. What about the rhythm of the song? Did you like that also? Thanks to all those that gave their comments. I do intend to sing. Hopefully, in subsequent releases, I will be singing and not reading. That being said, I guess I’ll delve into my post for the day. Last week, I saw a physiotherapist…

    How do we exhale?

I must applaud those of us living back here in Lagos. These days, the traffic situation has escalated to the point that I sometimes wonder how we can cope.  It’s pretty saddening to see the constant slow movements we tag as “go slow” (traffic) on our roads. How do we go through hectic days at the office / our places of livelihood and then head into a traffic that extends for 4-5 hours or even more, only to be back at the office the following day and then experience the same thing all over again? Recently, I noticed two young…

    Live an optimal life.

It’s as though I seem to stylishly walk just to reduce my pain. Lately, I found myself voicing my concern about the negligence of a physiotherapist, as her lack of attention to detail had caused untold pain in my knee. What had transpired? I had been requested by the orthopedic to see a physiotherapist immediately after surgery was performed on my knee. The attending physiotherapist had refused to note the facts I had mentioned but insisted that I use an exercise peddler as the treatment option. The exertion from the exercise peddler may have caused the stitches of my healing…
