He turned it around for my good.

It’s so nice to be back. Did you miss me? I know I did miss you all.

A lot of things were going on. Sometimes when you place yourself as an open book for others, you may come under undue attack.

I’d been having a fair share of issues in different areas of my life. To the point that I was actually starting to wonder if my ability not to withhold information was the root cause of the issue.

One area that had been a tough battle was my mental health. So much so that I was gradually slipping into a state of seclusion. Funny enough because I’m introverted a lot of you may not have noticed and may have taken it to be “Oh she just wants to be left alone”. However, this wasn’t the case as I kept feeling melancholy. Nevertheless, I did reach out but many times my words were so mumbled that it was difficult for the hearer to discern.

Apart from this area, I seemed to be having sensations. Although not frequent, it caused me to reevaluate my mindset and thinking patterns. I went to see my Neurologist and was told it was anxiety resulting from a new career path. A career path, I’ve come to appreciate.

So there I was, living in isolation, the sensations were coming every fourth night, and last of all I seemed to be rather poignant.

As if this was not enough, just after my last series about “The Nigerian Fuel Subsidy and its Aftermath”, my finances came under a lot of pressure. I woke up and my lessor doubled my tenancy agreement in one month. Of course, I was left with no option but to find another lessor and I thank God for coming through for me in ways I could not imagine.

Isn’t it funny sometimes the issues that we all encounter at different times and seasons of our lives? Moreso, isn’t it beautiful, the grace of God upon our lives, such that we go through those problems and keep looking our best selves nonetheless?

“My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. 2Cor12v9.

Of course, the pressure on the finances had a ripple effect and you all know how the sudden rise in inflation coupled with the Naira devaluation has impacted our society.

All I can say is this – “If it were not for the grace of God upon my life where would I be? Because all that the enemy planned for evil, God turned it around for my good”.

It’s not such a big deal to share. Sometimes when one unburdens, they release a weight from off their shoulders and give themselves the ability to breathe. On other occasions, they provide the strength for others to keep forging on knowing that they too are not in it all alone.

So I’m learning to take each day in my stride, one day at a time.
