My ideal therapy.

I guess you all in one way or the other may have experienced this activity which seems to be somewhat up-lifting. Let me explain.

On this particular day that I noticed I’d been indoors each weekend, it seemed as if the four-corners of each wall in my house was in my face. My reason for being indoors is one that I can’t remember. However, the fact that it had been reoccurring each weekend seemed a bit too much.

Thoughts kept prodding my mind to step out just for a drive, sadly I resisted. Eventually the deep prodding was accompanied by a headache and that was when I decided to take the thought seriously.

You see on many occasions when one is reserved in nature, you find out that you tend to walk the life path solo more often than not. I being me, came to terms with it long ago. On this particular day however, I seemed to have no where in mind. After much thought, I got ready and went to the closest mall at my end.

Oh! you would never believe the uplifting feeling I had immediately I stepped in. It felt like a weight of gloom had been lifted from off my shoulders and replaced with lightness. Of course, I started questioning why I had chosen to sit indoors that long.

Although, I had no specific need, being able to window-shop and in the atmosphere I found myself was all I needed.  I guess, you may have deduced the activity, I’m referring to?  ‘ Shopping therapy’.

These days though, I’ve learnt to resist it, because any activity done unduly always has its downsides, and for shopping therapy it’s becoming flat broke! lol.

So back to discussing other issues, I decided to shed a bit of light on how I’ve been coping with the hearing issue. Probably it may help you in some way.

I’ve accepted it. Not out of defeat but because I have a deeper level of understanding for three specific reasons:

  • Everyone in this life has one issue or the other.
  • The devil never wastes his time on people who are going nowhere. Many times it’s simply because one has a bright future that he comes with all means to thwart the process.
  • Lastly, because my Saviour said in his word, ‘…in this life you will have tribulations, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world”.

So, what’s that issue in your life, that seems to be weighing you down lately? Rejoicing in your sufferings, will keep the enemy at bay and cause God’s heart to overflow towards you with blessings untold. Jesus knows why he said it in his word.

There’s been so much bleakness world over. Everyone seems to be going through one issue or the other. It pays to have a happy disposition. The more one does, the more the light at the end of the tunnel is closer than expected.

I wish you all a lovely new week. Take care

“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee”.  Isaiah 26v3
