Dear friends,
I guess blogging over the past months did prove to be a lot more difficult than I envisaged.
Nonetheless, I had to come to terms with my truth and this is the fact that “when life gives you lemons, make lemonade”. If there’s a second truth I know, it’s the fact that I sure did miss you all very much.
As I sat yesterday afternoon talking to Jesus, I poured out my heart and told him how much I missed writing on the blog and that I lacked the inspiration to move it forward to the next stage, wherever it would lead. Little did I know that he already had an answer for me.
Would you like to know his answer? Then I’ll have to point you to yesterday’s message at the “School of Hebrews” – It’s titled ‘Your Isaac is here’. The School of Hebrews is birth from the ministry of Philadelphia Christian Church and the head pastor is Pastor Omar Thibeaux. Go on, check on YouTube, and listen. I do hope it blesses you.
You see, in the last few months. I have been struggling and considering shutting down the blog. Yes! sounds tough but true. Guess what though? I couldn’t bring myself to do it. Each time I would consider writing a goodbye to you all, I would sob uncontrollably. My hurt stemmed from the fact that I have poured so much into the blog these last four years and it had impacted your lives. No matter how little it has been.
Now, as I sit writing, I’m glad I did not go ahead with the plan. Sometimes it pays to speak up and seek help. My search for help proved to be fruitful and very encouraging in the special ways it came.
So here I am, glad to be back, and requesting that you please be patient with me as I move it to the next phase.
I’ve given it a lot of thought and have decided to change the theme name of the blog to “Lifestyle blog” instead of “Sickle cell anemia”. The reason is based on the fact that my posts are more lifestyle-themed and less SCD-themed.
I hope to do this after I publish today’s post.
Looking forward to talking to you all soon and sharing some insights into my journey to recovery.
Bye.
