Quotable quotes on life.
I didn’t leave, I just took sometime out.
In so doing, I came across a particular quote which seemed to spark other meaningful quotes within me. Written by Thomas Edison it goes this way “ Many of life failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up”.
This is such a profound truth that cuts across every sphere of life. One most relevant is the business industry. On many occasions especially for a growing business, due to what one may term as a “teething challenge”, it’s so very easy to pack up and ship out. Abandon to be more precise. Such challenges have caused many a business to fold up and to never reach its designed objective.
I also found this to be quite relevant to myself. Initially when I first started this blog and had reached the point where I finished recounting my past, I was at a crossroad to do the same.
“What next Onuoma?. Do I end here?” This kept resonating in my mind for quite sometime until at last it hit me. “No it’s not quite over, turn the pages over and share on your victories” after that, it changed to shared stories from other warriors and the list went on.
However, there were times in-between my wait for creativity when negative thoughts flooded my head to the point that I was on the brink of ending it all. At such times, I was grateful for the encouraging words received from different quarters. This helped me to keep on blogging. Right now, all I can see are the endless possibilities.
We all have such people in our lives, that keep prodding us to move on. It’s just that on several occasions we may be reluctant to reach out to them or be honest about our so called “hiccups”. Many of the times, the reason stems from what we deem to be the misuse of information by the hearer. Although, on many occasions this is true. However, the onus lies on us to judge wisely and be careful with those with whom we entrust our information.
Have you also wondered why sometimes, when you think you know a person at first glance, it turns out to be all wrong in the end. I’ve noticed that in life, friendships can be found in the most unlikely places. You feel you can count on a particular individual by face value but when true colors start to surface, it turns out to be all wrong. At such periods of vulnerability along could come another individual whom we may have deemed as a possible threat (please forgive my use of language), and this person turns out to be quite the opposite – trustworthy and true. I guess it pays never to underestimate anyone no matter how peculiar they seem. Many times, one’s “destiny helper” would never have this boldly imprinted across their face. Only time can tell if it was worth underestimating the days of little beginnings.
Now back to my quote of the day, on different occasions, we may look back to discover that we’ve been involved in so many ventures and none yielded any kind of reward. As the years go by, we wonder where exactly we missed it. Probably we may have chosen to give up when the problems came hitting hard.
Every success story, has its moment’s of testing because that’s the way life is structured. There will always be one problem or the other to encounter but if we hang in there with our motivation, it definitely yields.
