Ultimate therapy.
If you visited this blog for the first time, the post – ‘It couldn’t be more than dogged determination. maybe confusing. You may have questioned which advert I was referring to on the sidebar. Let me just explain a bit.
It was a sponsored advert that was up for a week. It was taken down when the terms and conditions were complete. If any of you readers is interested in showcasing your products/services, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
That being said, I’ll quickly delve into my post for today which may be a bit intriguing to you all. The background to the post is a bit lengthy so I’ll summarize so as not to bore you all.
Before the surgeries were done on me for Avascular Necrosis (AVN), I had considered alternative therapy to ease my pain. However, it turned out that my doctors insisted the surgery was necessary to arrest the AVN and to treat the tear in my knee.
Immediately after the surgery, the attending orthopedic informed me that I required physiotherapy to help the muscles in my knee heal faster. My physiotherapy sessions turned out to be a bit defeating and more painful than I anticipated, as the knee became inflamed due to the particular exercises prescribed for me. This was when I decided to take on refresher classes in swimming. However, the inflammation lingered as the healing process through swimming was gradual.
Recently, I had an appointment with my hematologist, and informed her about my ordeal. I told her I had intentions of visiting a Chinese Pain and Wellness center around the vicinity and she stated that it would not be a bad idea.
My visit to the Chinese Pain and Wellness center had a better and faster outcome. It turns out that the physicians there are very conversant with the human anatomy and how every nerve in the human body is interconnected. After a brief consultation with the physician, he recommended acupuncture, cupping, and electrical massage.
However, I opted out of the Acupuncture treatment. You would never believe that immediately after the treatment, the pain immediately disappeared. I was stunned. The physician also prescribed some Chinese organic pain medications with no side effects and gave me a follow appointment.
So what exactly am I saying today? This alternative treatment has proven capabilities to relieve varied forms of pain. I know some of you may be experiencing one form of pain or the other. This method could be indeed worth a try.
