Which one fully depicts you?

What do you do when you know you’ve made a mistake or been hasty with a decision?

Do you cringe in fear or just try to undo what you have done? What if the decision cannot be undone and you must live with the repercussions for the rest of your life?  They say experience is the best teacher.

One thing I’ve come to know is that being a mature adult is not easy, and that’s why a select few of us never leave behind our childish ways. Sometimes such childish behaviors could display in our conduct and in our inability to exhibit maturity in our lifestyles.

Some of us choose to be buffet Christians that stand on the ledge between the narrow and wide way, justifying our actions with the notion that it is by grace that we have been saved.

We display ebullition of tempers at the slightest provocation. We keep malice, envy, backbite, slander others, and make statements to justify such actions. We are deeply saddened by the progress of others. We choose to dig pits for others to fall into and sometimes when we see a pit that our fellow man cannot see, we deliberately shut a blind eye to it.  We tell lies and call them half-truths. We display drunkenness, debauchery and; live to please our earthly nature that is fast disappearing.  Many times we compromise our integrity and call it life.

I hear you ask, Onuoma, who do you think you are to say these things?

I’m just a fellow Christian like you who cares. Secondly, you need to understand, the way writers function and whom they are fully yielded to. In my case, I’m just a pencil in the hand of the master potter.

Now, let me show you what the bible says about all these. “ When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways. For now, we see in a mirror dimly but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known” 1 Corinthians 13v 11 & 12.

“Therefore do not become partners with them; for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true), and try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord “ Ephesians 5V7-10

Which will you be? a buffet Christian,? OR a Christian who walks circumspectly before Jehovah on the narrow way, not minding the cost?.

Talk to you all soon.
